Lynne's Story: I feel more confident knowing that I have control over my pain, that it doesn't control me anymore.
It all started with chest spasms that were just getting worse and worse. I’ve also always suffered from migraines. It got to the point where my pain was so bad I couldn’t walk, I couldn’t exercise.
My whole life revolved around my health; I had to alter my diet because so many foods would set off my pain. I had all kinds of tests to figure out what was wrong, and was prescribed injections and medicine.
Then my doctor at Lowell Pain Center referred me to Lin and I met with my coach, Lauren. She’s been amazing and so helpful, giving me great suggestions and teaching me to turn things to the positive.
With my coach’s help, I learned that fear was the basis of my pain, and now I’m not afraid anymore.
My brain used to be like a rebellious teenager. I talk to my brain a lot now. If the pain comes back, I do somatic tracking that Lin taught me, although it doesn’t flare often anymore.
I’ve been able to reintroduce foods, which is huge because my diet was so limited.
I feel more confident knowing that I have control over my pain, that it doesn't control me anymore. The program has been phenomenal - my spasms are gone, and I've made tremendous gains in my health.
Now I walk every day, I do yoga, I exercise. I now have the freedom where I don’t have to think about my health every day.
I can’t say enough good things about Lin; my pain sensations are manageable.

Favorite science fact: Fear is the underlying factor. You need to step out, there’s nothing to be afraid of.
